Mining: Mining. Eighty (80) letters of correspondence from the 1960s between two brothers, both Colorado doctors, J. R. & Ernest Irish, who were avid "seekers" of lost mines and hidden gold. Letters cover their plans for exhibitions throughout the western states, maps of where old mines were reported to be and information from other explorers of this period. Also with this lot are two books, "Colorado's Lost Gold Mines and Buried Treasure" by Caroline Bancroft & Agnes Nafziger, 1961, and "Hidden Gold of the Guadalupes" by Mrs. Ben Wattson, 1968 autographed. Excellent reading for someone interested in lost mines of the west. $150.00

Mining: Printed advertisement in the form of a letter. From H. D. King, Broker, Goldfield, Nevada. November 24, 1925. "A am on the ground at Goldfield. Follow me and win. Buy Goldfield Development--now selling around 7 cents per share. The main tunnel driven along the course of the big vein for more than 1800 feet has only a short distance to go to get through the big fault, on the other side of which bonanza ore such as made Goldfield famous in the past is looked for." It goes on for several paragraphs including, "Just as soon as the report is made public that highgrade ore has been encountered in the tunnel, you may expect to see fireworks in the market. It would not be surprising to see Goldfield Development sell at 2.00 to 3.00 dollars a share in the next few months. Do not wait for the big advance to take place. BUY NOW--All you can afford to carry. Buy to hold for big profits..." $35.00
