Space: (book) "A Journey in Other Worlds" by John Jacob Astor was written in 1894. This first edition illustrated book, the only novel Astor ever wrote, is a fascinating fiction book about a space ship (looks like a modern space capsule) which ventures to other planets. One of the wealthiest men in the World, Astor is the man who put "Astor" in the Waldorf-Astoria, and who placed his wife in a lifeboat than wandered back to the bar to await going down with the Titanic. Some pages are loose, however, the book is complete. $40.00

When this cosmic snowball of ice and dust with a nucleus 3 to 6 miles across and a tail Millions of miles long first appears midnight December 31, 1985 and streaks across the sky closest (55 million miles) to the Sun on February 9, 1986, it will be observed by five spacecraft. In an international effort, the space probes loaded with sensors and cameras, will be coordinated to analyze the comet from distances ranging from 6000 miles to as close as 300 miles.
