Farm Related: 6" square ceramic tile commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Trask Bridge Picnic, August 4, 1965. Known as the World's Largest Farm Picnic, this traditionally big event was conducted each year by the Burritt Grange in Andrews Grove along the Pecatonica River off Rte 70 northwest of Rockford, Illinois. With a mid-way and commercial exhibitors equalling the state fair, free entertainment out of Chicago and Nashville, professional baseball games, and everything from horse-shoe pitching and hog calling contests to prizes for the largest pumpkins and other vegetable and floral exhibits, this was truly an event that drew people from far and wide, with attendance on a good year reaching as high as 50-60,000 - truly a large farm picnic! Nice commemorative.

Push down on top button and "tatoo"-type needles are lowered about 1/4" below surface of base so when base is pressed up against the flesh of a bird or animal, the needles penetrate the surface and leave the marking which on this one we believe is "PF 1607".
