Bookends - Pairs: Tremendous set of bookends depicting famous pose of Abraham Lincoln sitting in his chair from the Lincoln Monument on The Mall in Washington, D.C. Produced by Philadelphia Manufacturing Co. Entire bookend is cast metal in black and silver. Heavy, with the pair weighing 15 pounds! Approx. 7-1/2" high. Mint, in original box. Circa. early 1960s or before.

Can't tell if he is supposed to be eating something, covering his mouth, or whatever. Marked J. L. Drucklieb. 6-1/4" high. May have been silver coated at one time, but most gone, only the highlights remaining, making the bookends look almost like pewter.
